About Choices for Change Counseling
Susan R. Nate, LPC, PhD.
Dr. Nate is a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Utah and Wyoming, a National Board Certified Psychotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist, and an International Trainer for Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP).
Dr. Nate has worked in the mental health field for more than thirty years. She did an internship at the Utah State Hospital working with convicted sex offenders. She worked in a community mental health center for twenty-two years.
Dr. Nate has had a very successful private counseling practice in Rock Springs, Wyoming, since 1986. She opened her Utah practice in 2009.
Dr. Nate has worked in marriage and relations counseling, adult, teen and children counseling, and is an expert witness for courts in Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. She has taught in elementary and secondary level schools, as well as teaching courses in Social Problems and Public Speaking, Anger Management, Working with Difficult Children, and First Responders dealing with Critical Incidents.
